"First time here. Visiting from Nashville TN. This place was better than some of the "joints" on Nashville's Broadway! The food was awesome and delivered quickly. The tavern on the side is a cozy place but not too "tight". There is a music/entertainment venue in the front for everything from live bands to karaoke. As a sound and lights guy in Nashville I can say that the music and lighting in this venue was fantastic! I noticed that they are using Electro Voice and Yorkville speakers which is pretty much as close to the "top of the line" as you can get! The sound was crisp and clear and the lights were amazing with lasers and LED panels. There were even some "old skool" "cans" and two HUGE mirror balls. I'm definitely going back for the music but the food was right up there too! I've been in a lot of venues and some have great food and a sub par entertainment facilities and some have a great music venue but sub par food. This place seems to have found a pretty good balance of both, especially for a "small town". I met the owners and they are both charming individuals! Although the place is fairly new they are trying to overcome the "growing pains" of a new food/entertainment venue. They have a great vision of what they want to achieve and with the community's support I'm pretty sure that one day this will be the "go to" place in Elizabeth City. (Lol, maybe it already is) I can't wait to get back here again!"

"We tried this place without being able to find a menu. I am so glad we did. For an appetizer, we had the cheese bites. They were a nice basket full and very good. The bites come with a spicy ranch and we we're offered a traditional ranch too. For dinner I had the rueben. It was yummy although I will ask for extra sauerkraut next time. My husband had the fish and chips and enjoyed it as well. They have bananas foster and peach foster made tableside, but we declined as we were very full. It did look appetizing and we are planning to try it next time. We were offered a taste of the homemade whip cream as a temptation and it was awesome. All the staff, including our server, were very nice and helpful. In the beginning of our meal the overhead lighting was flickering. Before we had a chance to ask, I saw a person attempting to fix it. It did get much better. I like how open the restaurant was and it's has a lot of charm with the high ceilings and metal staircase. There is also a back bar we peaked in on our way out that had an English pub appearance."

"We had the BEST time at breakfast with Santa!! The stage was set beautifully with cool reindeer. An added bonus with the face painting for the kids. Food was hot and Haley was a very attentive waitress and super sweet to my kids. My boys ate their food and asked for more. Five stars. We can’t wait to come back!!"

"The Boathouse blew us out of the water. We went for Sunday brunch and could not have had better service. Staff was friendly from the moment we walked it. Our server Savanah was fantastic. She had us laughing and kept my glass full. Highly recommend the shrimp and grits. Don't tell my momma but the grits were better than hers. 10/10 would recommend. We will be back."

"Food was excellent . TOOLY'S AND Mary was an excellent cocktail choice with just a hint of spice. Mediterranean grilled chicken sandwich was to die for. Bree was an awesome server. Kitchen cook was very nice as I started up a convo in the restroom (yes, I'm one of those types). Plenty of games to watch on multiple TVs. Fun atmosphere and very fair prices. Fairly difficult to find the entrance. Now we know you can enter through Tooly's Tavern or The Boat House entrances."
